Chapter 6 Entry into Law
"One of them is called Shenxiao, and this one is called Leifa. It was created by Master Chongxu Tongmiao during the Northern Song Dynasty by combining the ancient Qi refining methods. The scripture is called "Shenxiao Tiantan Jade Book". It contains the words of immortal transformation and the spells of raising clouds and causing rain. If you practice this way, you can see ghosts and gods, command thunder and lightning, chase evil spirits, and cure people's diseases. The effect will be seen immediately."
"The second method is Lingbao. This way emphasizes fasting and offering ceremonies. Those who learn the way of immortals to ascend to heaven in broad daylight all take fasting and abstinence as the basis for building virtue. If you enter this way, you must recite scriptures, cultivate merits, despise the cauldron, and despise the bedroom. You must do good deeds every day and reap good fruits. Entering this way can lead to longevity and immunity from ghosts and gods. In the palace, you can gain infinite peace. The "Lingbao Sutra" practiced by this way is also the wonderful method learned by the Pure Yang Zhenren Lu Dongbin in the past."
"The third method is the Qingwei Jing method practiced by my Baiyun Temple, which is from the Shangqing Talisman. There are three schools of talismans in the world, and the first one is my Maoshan Shangqing. Internally refine the golden elixir and externally practice talismans. The method of receiving the Tao is to first receive the "Five Thousand Characters Talisman", then the "Three Caves Talisman", then the "Dongxuan Talisman", and then the "Shangqing Talisman". Internally practice the "Qingwei Dan Jue", which can drive away gods and demons, and can also pacify the people and protect the fetus."
"These three methods are all my White Cloud Contemplation Practice Methods. You can choose any one to enter."
After the old Taoist finished speaking, he looked at Li Daoxuan with a smile. Seeing that he was lost in deep thought, he wanted to pick up the book to read again. However, before he had read two words, he heard Li Daoxuan say in a serious voice: "Master, I want to practice the Pure Pure Dharma."
The old Taoist was surprised and looked Li Daoxuan up and down. He stroked his beard and asked, "Why did you choose Qingwei Dao?"
"You have passed on the Taoist tradition of Baiyun Temple to me, and I will never forget the kindness of my master in raising me." Li Daoxuan looked at the old Taoist seriously, making his feelings seem more genuine. As for why he chose Qingwei, it goes without saying. After all, the old Taoist hinted that Baiyun Temple mainly practices Qingwei, and he must hope that his disciples can inherit the Taoist tradition.
Li Daoxuan didn't have much ambition to join any sect. As long as the old Taoist was kind to him, he would naturally follow him. Li Daoxuan still had a sense of gratitude.
As expected, the old Taoist said "good" three times after hearing what Li Daoxuan said. He personally climbed up from the couch and helped Li Daoxuan up. With tears in his eyes, he brushed off the dirt on his body and said, "My good disciple, I am satisfied that you have such a kind heart. Since you want to learn the Qingwei Dao, I will naturally teach you everything I know."
"From now on, after evening practice, you will come to me. I will personally teach you the true Dharma."
After talking to Li Daoxuan for a long time, the old Taoist still felt a little lonely. Although he was a Taoist, he still had seven emotions and six desires. The old Taoist had no children in his life and was lonely. Although he was the head of Baiyun Temple, he was also a 70-year-old man.
I thought it was hopeless to pass on the true teachings in this lifetime, so I was ready to find a decent disciple to pass on. I never thought that I would get a disciple at such a young age. Although he was only a child, he had already been blessed with the golden light and opened the Niwan Palace. Even if the people in Jiuxiao Wanfu Palace knew about this kind of disciple, they would probably jump up and down to snatch him away.
When Li Daoxuan left, he took with him a classic book called "Daofa Huiyuan". This book collected the wonderful methods of various schools and included the records of hundreds of immortals from the talisman sect, so it can be regarded as a masterpiece.
Although it was widely circulated, it had also been modified a lot. Others were just confused and didn't know what it was talking about. But the old Taoist gave it to him was the True Scripture, which was said to be a great scripture that only the inner circle of the Xuanmen could read.
The old Taoist also taught Li Daoxuan the Qingwei sitting technique. Combined with the Taizhu creation, the sitting technique and sleeping method, it is considered the Qingwei secret sitting and internal alchemy refining method. This method is not passed on to outside disciples, and their breathing and work and rest are all changed.
With the guidance of the old Taoist priest, Li Daoxuan could understand why many secret techniques of inner alchemy were lost. Even if they could be printed and spread throughout the world, it would be difficult for anyone to master them.
It turns out that the reason is that the methods are different and people are different. Without a master to guide you, it is difficult to touch the true method even if you have great understanding. If you practice blindly according to the book, you may end up hurting your body. Or if there is no change after practicing for a few days, you will be discouraged and give up.
Due to many reasons, there are very few people who can obtain the true Dharma, so many mysterious methods have been lost in history.
Now that he has learned the true method from the old Taoist, Li Daoxuan can be considered to have officially embarked on the path of cultivation. "The world is difficult, and the connection between heaven and earth is severed. Since the Northern Song Dynasty, no one has ascended to heaven. This is also the reason why the Xuanmen has fallen into decline." The old Taoist sighed.
Li Daoxuan pondered over the old Taoist's words, which probably meant that the present was the Dharma Ending Age. From the Northern Song Dynasty to the present, fewer and fewer people in the world could obtain the true Dao. The gradual decline of the Dao was also due to this reason.
However, this matter was not a big deal for Li Daoxuan, because when he began to practice Qingwei Zuogong, he found that he could feel a warm feeling like urine in his Dantian. It was like the feeling when urinating, like something like warm water was slowly swimming in his Dantian.
He tried to control the warmth with his mind, but found that he could only make it move slightly. Then the warmth was hidden in Dantian, and it would circulate around the body from time to time.
This really surprised Li Daoxuan. He even suspected that this warmth was a parasite. Why didn't it obey anyone's commands and instead moved around on its own?
Puzzled, Li Daoxuan could only keep it to himself. However, after the morning class, he took the opportunity to ask the Taoist priest. The Taoist priest would naturally answer his doubts and said that this situation might be due to the accumulation of mana in the body. The cultivator had not yet reached the realm, so he could not use the energy in the Dantian.
However, this situation is only recorded in classical books. After all, there are not many people today who can hold the true faith.
Li Daoxuan understood his situation and felt relieved. He read Dao Fa Hui Yuan and practiced Qing Wei Dan Jue every day. He also studied Wu Qian Wen Lu in private.
He practiced hard skills on the outside and cultivated the alchemy skills on the inside. He also needed to learn calligraphy and practice the arts of music, chess, calligraphy and painting. Li Daoxuan's days were quite fulfilling.
By studying and writing diligently every day, he has accumulated a lot of Yin-Yang fish. After understanding his special ability, Li Daoxuan gradually used it to improve himself.
If he wrote talismans and drew spells, he could get three black fish every day. If he wrote calligraphy or copied scriptures, he could get three white fish every day. However, once he got three Yin-Yang fish, his spirit would become sluggish and sleepy. So Li Daoxuan would only get the third Yin-Yang fish before falling asleep.
With the help of the three Yin-Yang fish, Li Daoxuan could meet Uncle Jiu every night. From practicing drawing talismans to practicing martial arts and meditation, Uncle Jiu did teach him a lot of good things.
Li Daoxuan also likes to chat with Uncle Jiu, so that he can tell his thoughts freely. He doesn't have to hide his identity as a time traveler, nor does he have to worry about what will happen if others know about it.
Uncle Jiu is also a kind person. He will listen carefully to Li Daoxuan's concerns and comfort him from time to time.
Li Daoxuan felt that if the old Taoist was his first master, then Uncle Jiu must be his second master.
The days passed one by one, and soon it was the New Year.
